PVS-14 Night Vision Monocular — Gen 2+ Autogated and Manual Gain Analog NV with G24 Mount and J-Arm Included

The Night Operators PVS-14 is a real Gen-2+ analog image-intensifier tube night vision monocular built in a milspec PVS-14 housing. It costs $2,295.95 at the 1250–1350 FOM baseline tier — $500 less than the AGM PVS-14 NW2 at $2,795 and $314 less than the ATN PVS14-2 at $2,609 — and includes the L4 G24-pattern helmet mount and the PVS-14 J-arm in the box (both sold separately by AGM, ATN, Bering, and Steele Industries for $150–$400 extra). Higher FOM tier upgrades available: 1400–1550 FOM (+$100) and 1800–2000 FOM (+$200). Direct from us, without the dealer-network markup OpticsPlanet, B&H, and regional reps add to comparable Gen-2+ tubes.

Every Night Operators PVS-14 ships with a printed factory QC spec sheet documenting the exact measured values for that unit's tube. Most competitors do not.

Tube FOM tier pricing

The Night Operators PVS-14 is offered at three FOM tiers. The baseline tier covers the majority of sales and ships with no upcharge. Higher FOM tiers deliver more measured tube clarity and are priced based on tube cost.

FOM tier Upcharge Total price Use case
1250–1350 FOM (baseline) +$0 $2,295.95 Standard buyer — Gen 2+ autogated PVS-14 with the G24 helmet mount and J-arm included. Same tube tier as the AGM PVS-14 NW2 at $2,795 and ATN PVS14-2 at $2,609 — without the dealer markup.
1400–1550 FOM (mid) +$100 $2,395.95 Buyer who wants more tube clarity and is willing to pay for it. Sits at the upper end of the AGM / ATN baseline tier still well under $2,500 with the complete kit in box.
1800–2000 FOM (premium) +$200 $2,495.95 Buyer at the upper end of what Gen 2+ NNVT tubes deliver — premium spec for serious operators. Same FOM tier as Steele Industries PVS-14R NNVT 1600+ builds at $3,000+ and approaches L3Harris / Elbit Gen-3 entry FOM (1800+) at less than half the price.

FOM allocation is order-priority based — higher FOM units are prioritized to fulfill higher-tier orders first. No hand-select.

Competitor prices verified June 2026 from official retailer listings (AGM Global Vision, OpticsPlanet, B&H, NightVision4Less, Steele Industries). Same Gen-2+ tube class. Same milspec PVS-14 housing. Direct from us, not through three layers of dealer network.

Why the Night Operators PVS-14 costs less than AGM and ATN

Three things are different about our supply chain, all of which return value to the buyer instead of to a dealer network:

Dealer margin. OpticsPlanet, B&H, regional reps, and brick-and-mortar gun shops carrying inventory each take 25–40% of the unit's final price. Our supply chain is one layer — us to you. That margin doesn't exist.

Inventory financing. Distributors hold thousands of units across regional warehouses. The cost of that inventory is financed and built into wholesale pricing. We hand-assemble and bench-test in batches, hold less inventory, and pass the financing savings back.

Mount and J-arm bundle. AGM and ATN sell the PVS-14 tube. The G24 mount and J-arm are separate purchases — typically $150–$400 added at checkout, often through the same dealer at retail markup. We include both in the box at our cost. The bundled inclusion alone is $300+ of value the dealer stack hides.

The price isn't a typo. The price is what removing three layers of distribution looks like. There is no upsell waiting at checkout, no tube-quality compromise, no catch.

Who buys the Night Operators PVS-14

Passive aiming and helmet mounting. The PVS-14 form factor is built around helmet shrouds, G24 mounts, and J-arms. Same setup the military uses. The reason buyers at this tier specifically want a real analog tube over a digital alternative.

Analog upgrade from a digital monocular. If you bought a Sionyx Aurora, an InfiRay digital monocular, or our own Viper to enter night vision, the Night Operators PVS-14 is the analog tube graduation path. Same form factor as AGM and ATN. $500 less. Mount and J-arm in the box.

Bridged thermal and analog NV. Pair the Night Operators PVS-14 with our Heat thermal monocular ($649.95) on a dovetail bridge adapter. Stereoscopic dual-vision setup — analog NV on one eye, thermal on the other. Same fusion concept commercial $8,000+ bridged kits (InfiRay Jerry-F, Steele DTNVS) sell at three to four times the price. See the Night Operators PVS-14 + Heat Bridge bundle for the complete kit at $2,795.95.

Mil-sim, NV training, and airsoft night operations. If your squad runs analog, digital monoculars stick out visually and operationally. The Night Operators PVS-14 lets a hobbyist train with what everyone else is using at the price the hobby can sustain.

Property defense — operator tier. Buyers who already own a digital monocular (Sionyx, Viper, AGM digital) and have decided they want an analog tube for the home-defense kit. Real tube. No screen. No battery anxiety. No IR torch giveaway.

Grid-down readiness, search and rescue, predator hunting at distance. Use cases where the analog tube's longer battery life, lower latency, and lower thermal signature outperform digital alternatives.

Compatibility

The Night Operators PVS-14 uses the standard milspec PVS-14 form factor and is fully accessory-compatible with the existing PVS-14 ecosystem. The J-arm is a standard PVS-14 dovetail. The included L4 G24-pattern mount drops into Wilcox G24, Norotos, and Ops-Core MICH/ACH helmet shrouds. Sacrificial windows, eyecups, daylight covers, NV-mount adapters, and weapon-mount accessories built for the PVS-14 family will fit.

About Night Operators

Night Operators is a direct-supply-chain civilian night vision and thermal optics brand. 17,000+ orders shipped across our digital line (Viper digital night vision monocular at $249.95, Heat thermal monocular at $649.95, Heat + Viper Bridge bridged digital fusion kit at $749.95). 5,000+ verified reviews. The Night Operators PVS-14 is the brand's entry into analog tube product — built on the same direct-supply-chain logic that runs the digital line.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a real analog PVS-14 tube?

Yes. Gen-2+ image-intensifier tube, NNVT-class, autogated, 1250–1350 FOM at the baseline tier with optional upgrades to 1400–1550 FOM (+$100) and 1800–2000 FOM (+$200), no blems, brand new. Same hardware class as AGM PVS-14 NW2 and ATN PVS14-2 at the baseline, exceeding Steele Industries PVS-14R 1600+ FOM at the premium tier. Real analog night vision, not digital. Milspec PVS-14 housing, standard form factor.

Is the tube autogated?

Yes. Every Night Operators PVS-14 ships with an autogated tube. Autogating means the tube can handle bright light flashes — headlights, room lights, weapon-light spillback — without permanent damage and with minimal blooming. It's the table-stakes Gen-2+ feature in 2026. Other entry-tier brands at similar price points quietly ship without it. We don't.

Does the PVS-14 have manual gain control?

Yes. The brightness gain is operator-controlled (manual), not auto-gain. Manual gain gives the operator control in mixed-lighting scenarios where auto-gain throttles too aggressively. Most Chinese clone analog monoculars at this price tier ship with auto-gain only because they can't replicate the internal pin configuration that enables manual gain. We can.

Why is the Night Operators PVS-14 less expensive than AGM and ATN?

Direct supply chain. AGM, ATN, and Bering distribute through OpticsPlanet, B&H, regional reps, and dealer networks — every layer adds margin. We source the tubes ourselves, build the units, and sell direct to the buyer. Same hardware tier at the baseline. The middleman stack is what's gone.

What is the tube's FOM?

The Night Operators PVS-14 is offered at three FOM tiers. The baseline 1250–1350 FOM tier ships at $2,295.95 with no upcharge. The 1400–1550 FOM mid tier is +$100 ($2,395.95 total). The 1800–2000 FOM premium tier is +$200 ($2,495.95 total). The baseline tier sits squarely in the AGM PVS-14 NW2, ATN PVS14-2, and Steele PVS-14 entry tier. The premium tier exceeds Steele Industries PVS-14R 1600+ FOM territory ($3,000+) and approaches L3Harris / Elbit Gen-3 entry FOM (1800+ at $4,500+). We publish the range because the spec matters and other brands often don't. FOM allocation is order-priority — higher FOM units are fulfilled first against higher-tier orders. No hand-select.

What is the SNR of the PVS-14 tubes?

SNR 20+ across all tiers (sample tube tested 20.33 at QC). SNR matters in low-light conditions — higher SNR means cleaner image with less "graininess" in starlight or overcast conditions. Higher FOM tier tubes typically test correspondingly higher on SNR.

Will the Night Operators PVS-14 work with my Wilcox, Norotos, or Ops-Core helmet mount?

Yes. Standard milspec PVS-14 form factor. Same J-arm dovetail interface and helmet shroud compatibility as every standard PVS-14 in the market. Drops into your existing setup.

Is the included G24 mount a Wilcox?

No. It's an L4 G24-pattern helmet mount. Functions identically with all standard helmet shrouds. The J-arm is a standard PVS-14 dovetail. We tell buyers they're pattern-compatible, not Wilcox-branded, because they are.

What is the warranty?

1-year hardware warranty against manufacturing defects. 30-day return window if the unit isn't what you expected. 30% restocking fee on returns initiated for personal preference — full policy on the returns page. Defective units are fully refunded or replaced.

How long does shipping take?

4–6 weeks from order. Every unit is bench-tested by a human before it ships. Worldwide shipping with duties pre-paid — international buyers pay nothing extra at delivery regardless of destination country.

Does the Night Operators PVS-14 bridge with the Heat thermal monocular?

Yes. The Night Operators PVS-14 + Heat Bridge bundle is the complete kit at $2,795.95 base — analog NV on one eye, thermal on the other. Same dovetail bridge adapter the rest of our line uses. Same fusion concept commercial $8,000+ bridged kits sell at three to four times the price. The Heat Bridge bundle is also available at the higher FOM tiers (1400–1550 and 1800–2000) with the same +$100 / +$200 upcharge structure.

Should I get the PVS-14 or the PVS-31 PRO dual-tube binocular?

If you need single-tube monocular night vision for weapon-side mounting or entry-tier helmet use, the PVS-14 at $2,295.95 base is the right purchase. If you need dual-tube binocular depth perception, peripheral vision, and reduced eye fatigue for extended helmet-mounted operations, the Night Operators PVS-31 PRO dual-tube binocular at $3,800 base with 50° per-tube FOV is the upgrade. Many buyers own both — PVS-14 for weapon-side, PVS-31 PRO for helmet-side dual-tube operation.

Not great at cooling
Size: Queen (2 Count), Color: Original White (Cooling)
Each pillow cover has 2 sides, one marked for cooling, and the other a different fabric. The cooling side is about the same effectiveness as having a silk or satin pillow cover. It's only cool when you first touch it. The cooling side doesn't seem to absorb or wick moisture, so if you are sweaty - it keeps the moisture in place. You'll definitely want a regular pillow case over the pillow cover. In fact, if you suffer from night sweats, the non-cooling side is actually more comfortable. The pillow fill is ample, and simple to squish around for more support for your neck, etc. Think bean bag. But it will retain your impression after use. I find I need to do as I did when I had down pillows - give it a few good shakes in the morning when I make the bed to get it evened out for the coming night. In all, it is a well-made and comfortable pillow to sleep on, but it does not excel in cooling.

excellent pillows i bought two sets!!
Size: Firm Queen (2 Count), Color: Original White (Cooling)
I ordered these for my son who has neck issues and has gone through so many pillows trying to find one that he liked. They’re heavy, so i was worried that they might be “too” heavy to be able to sleep on comfortably, so I ordered a second set, one firmer than the other (just in case) and gave him a set for Xmas and he loved the first set so much without even trying the less firm ones.He also needs the cooling factor and these offered that, too. They are filled with pieces of memory foam (tons of it) and each pillow can be modified by removing some of the foam. The covers are beautiful, high quality fabric with a zipper so ts easy to remove or replace the foam pieces. The size is perfect and they keep their shape. I kept the second set i ordered rather than returning them and i love the pillows. I actually modified two by removing some of the foam pieces. I kept the foam pieces in a zippered pillow protector and i can always adjust mine when or if i need to. 1000% love these.

The Perfect Firm Pillow l
Size: Queen (1 Count), Color: Original White (Cooling)
It is everything it claims to be, cool, comfortable and strong. I got this for my husband first, he loves it and then got one for my son, he uses it to support his knees and has been sleeping much better since then. They both needed a firm pillow that is not super soft, firm but not achy. Finally found the perfect one.

It works! Quality pillow.
Size: Standard (1 Count), Color: Original White (Cooling)
This does actually provide a cooling effect, and it's very comfortable! The accompanying literature is helpful too. I believe this to be a quality pillow for the price.

Most comfortable pillow I’ve ever slept on
Size: Queen (1 Count), Color: Crescent White(cooling)
This is the most comfortable pillow I have ever slept on. It doesn't mash down like other pillows. Cradles my neck perfectly plus it’s cool. I broke my neck a couple of years ago and this pillow feels very good and comfortable. Definitely recommend to everyone. Ive used it since May and it’s retained its shape.
